APC Series officials are happy to announce details on the 2018 rule updates for the APC Series.
The 2018 engine program details can be found here. In addition to the updated engine program, below are some key updates to the 2018 rule book. It is highly recommended that all teams completely read all APC Series rule books.
6.2. Body Width: 80.5 measured in front of the rear wheels & front valance infront of front wheels
8.15. Door bars access holes (see rule book)
9.9. Shocks: Specific shock rule details will be announced soon
18.8 Transponder: Transponder MUST be wired directly to main battery switch. Transponder must be located on left rear frame rail behind rear axle, 172 inches from furthest forward point on front nose.
20.5 Fuel vent must have safety flap valve
24.4. No ride height rule. However, a car that continues to bottom out or rub the track will be sent to the pits to raise the car so as not to damage the track’s racing surface. (Note: Body must still meet all ABC Body dimensions)
27.6. 10.0:1 Compression Ratio MAX (Gm 604 & 347Sr/Sr7
